The Wonders of Dead Sea Salt

Firstly, the salt content of the Dead Sea is roughly 400 mgs per kg of dry weight. In other words, its a big chunk of salt that youd be hard pressed to find anywhere else in the world.

With these facts in mind, many ancient theories have surfaced. One such theory comes from the geology of the area – the crust of the Earth around the Dead Sea – suggests that this salt is formed from the melting of the very ancient lava flows that occurred millions of years ago.

Over the years, my research into bath salt has led me to a few simple observations and information. In this brief article, Ill briefly outline some of the major aspects of this natural salt.

The reason for this is that the Dead Sea has two areas: one on the surface of the sea bed that is actually filled with water; and another area that is actually a reservoir. The water from the surface drains through this second area, forming a layer of briny liquid underneath. During times of high evaporation, the liquid becomes more concentrated, much like the summer months in the US.

While there are theories about how this particular area formed, most believe that an ancient civilization, known as the Eblaites, had developed a way to use a particular type of meteorite to create this distinctive layer of salt. How they did this is something of a mystery, though some think that they used powerful heat and pressure to affect the composition of the asteroid. Others theorize that they simply condensed the salt to form a lake.

Today, Dead Sea salt comes in different forms. Much of it can be found in different forms, like granules, crystals, pebbles, etc. There are also different blends – the Dead Sea products come in a mix of different salts.

What you may not realize is that Dead Sea salt is also a natural product of its own. It is made by the interaction of bacteria living in a natural spring within the Dead Sea region. Over thousands of years, these bacteria have evolved and adapted to create this amazing product.

The Dead Sea salt has recently become famous among the general public. Because of its ability to cleanse the body of all the harmful toxins, it is becoming a popular alternative medicine solution for many individuals. It is also being used by many athletes because of its ability to reduce inflammation and enhance recovery.

One of the most interesting things about Dead Sea salt is the fact that it actually is mineral-rich. According to my research, it is composed of around two to three percent sodium chloride.

You can also use Dead Sea salt as a skin cleanser. It works to remove the top layer of dead skin cells, making way for younger looking, smoother skin.

Another great use for Dead Sea salt is that it helps relieve sinus congestion. Just like many other natural treatments, it is particularly effective in eliminating sinus pressure, which often results in headaches.

It seems that there are many reasons to choose Dead Sea salt. In my experience, these benefits can be attributed to the various minerals present within this salt, but I havent forgotten about the fun part of using it.
