The Color of Gems

Then there are the secondary colors, which are the result of blending basic colors like purple, orange, or green. There are many colors to choose from, including blue-violet and yellow-green.
Saturation
Saturation refers to the perception of grays of the same brightness. Grays are generally characterized by zero saturation. The theory goes that complete saturation means there is no gray.
Imbue
A color that is believed to be green or yellow and/or purple. It implies that gray, black, and white are not imbued.
Tint
Tints are a color that is mixed with white. Tints are less saturated and lighter than colors without white.
The color grade refers to the strength of the main colors relative to other colors in the stone. For example, a 100% blue grade would mean that the main color is clear and there are no violets or purples in the stone. These things will be reflected in the complimentary gemstone report.
The purity of the basic determines the grade of the gemstone astrology remedies. The AGL scale will determine the numerical grade of the gemstone astrology remedies. For example, the more blue the sapphire, the more red the ruby. The sample 3.04 sapphire is a 3 in the sample.
